This position supports human resource operations for reporting units served by the Provost Business Office team. This position provides human resource activities for assigned reporting units served by the Provost Business Office team. Administrative services include compliance with university, State of Kansas and Federal policies, execution of the employee recruitment process, management of human resource payroll functions, time and leave, oversight of the performance management process, maintenance of employee records and providing benefits information all with a high level of excellent customer service.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in human resources.
- Two or more years of relevant experience in human resources and/or payroll.
- Experience in data entry, payroll, recruitment, human resources, and customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to determine priorities, exercise sound judgment and work independently.
- Willingness to learn new software, to develop additional skills, and to engage in professional development.
- Ability to exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality.
- Demonstrated background or knowledge of human resource processes and policies.
