This position serves as the HR Operations Officer and reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. Responsibilities include management of the entire employee life cycle - recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation; oversight of supported employment for staff and interns with neurodevelopmental conditions; management of the non-employee (e.g., clinical externs, volunteers, observers) onboarding and tracking; administration of the MIND Institute International Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities; and coordination of space assignment and equipment tracking. In addition, the incumbent serves as the subject matter expert in human resources for the department and is responsible for the interpretation, implementation, and compliance with UCDH HR policies and procedures.
This position requires a highly independent professionalpossessing analytical, organizational, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The incumbent receives minimal instruction for daily assignments and must be able to independently prioritize competing projects to execute them on time and accurately. The incumbent possesses broad HR knowledge, analyzes problems/issues, and demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Lastly, the HR Operations Officer needs to have strong customer service skills to serve a wide variety of MIND Institute constituents, including faculty, clinicians, trainees, and staff on the Sacramento and Davis campuses and external clients.
