This is a full-time in-office role M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch. Candidates living farther than 40 miles or 1 1/2 hours from the office will not be considered for the position.
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000
Job Description
We are seeking an HR Operations Manager to own our HR operations, payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems. This is an operational role that reports directly to the President and focuses on building processes and systems that can scale with the companys future growth. Key Responsibilities
Weekly Payroll
Process and manage weekly payroll accurately and on time.
Validate time data, crew hours, and payroll inputs for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure proper handling of deductions, garnishments, benefits, and taxes.
Maintain payroll compliance and reporting standards.
Partner with Finance to ensure alignment with payroll reporting and journal processes.
HRIS & Systems (Rippling)
Own and administer Rippling as the companys HRIS.
Complete system implementation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Manage employee records, job changes, and system workflows.
Serve as the internal expert for Rippling, implement improvements, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
HR Process & Systems
Identify gaps in current HR processes and implement standardized workflows.
Build and document processes for Onboarding and new hire setup.
Manage employee documentation, write-ups, performance tracking, and separations.
Ensure processes are consistent, compliant, and scalable.
Reporting & Compliance
Manage onboarding documentation and employee recordkeeping.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Handle employee status changes, terminations, and required documentation.
Support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements.
HR Support & Employee Relations
Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and policies.
Guide managers on HR processes and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
Transition from Outsourced HR
Partner with the current outsourced HR provider to transition responsibilities in-house.
Document processes and ensure continuity.
Establish full internal ownership of HR operations.
Benefits Administration
Own and manage all employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and ancillary coverages (life, disability, etc.).
Administer benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
Lead and coordinate the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and support.
Ensure accurate setup and deductions within the HRIS and payroll systems.
Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Partner with brokers and providers to manage plans, renewals, and changes.
Maintain compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, COBRA, etc.).
