Pay Rate: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Must be flexible to work 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM on occasion to support multi-shift employees)
Overview of the Job
The HR Office Assistant / Office Clerk supports the onsite Management Team in administrative and day-to-day functions for the Aurora Distribution Center. This role serves as the face of the facility, providing exceptional customer service to visitors and employees, assisting with hourly recruitment, and supporting HR policies and programs. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English and maintain flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours to support employees across three shifts. This is a 3 to 4-month contract role.
Job Specifications
Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary DC receptionist and office clerk, greeting visitors and managing incoming inquiries.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors by answering questions and proactively troubleshooting issues.
• Assist with hourly recruiting functions and candidate coordination.
• Create and maintain physical and digital employee files, ensuring proper filing and documentation practices.
• Create, communicate, implement, and coordinate employee appreciation and engagement activities.
• Administratively support the implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the DC Distribution Manager.
• Handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and act with absolute integrity.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and results-oriented mindset.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required (2-Year College Degree preferred).
• Prior experience in Human Resources or office administration is preferred.
