Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried workforces
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Ability to work on-site in an industrial environment, including walking the floor and using steel-toed boots
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR functions within the manufacturing facility, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with plant leadership to support operational goals and maintain a productive workforce.
  • Develop and execute hiring strategies for plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and support staff.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors and employees on HR matters, investigating complaints and promoting workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations including OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and wage/hour requirements.
  • Administer performance appraisal processes and support talent development initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs, including safety training and leadership development.
  • Administer compensation programs and employee benefits, participate in salary benchmarking, and support payroll and HRIS management.
  • Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, hiring efficiency, and engagement, preparing reports for plant leadership.
