- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, partnering with department leaders to identify staffing needs and required competencies.
- Oversee candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring processes to attract top talent.
- Manage pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and physical exam documentation.
- Direct onboarding initiatives including new hire orientation, I-9 verification, and assignment of required training.
- Utilize HRIS systems to manage recruiting, onboarding, and employee data.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Support performance management and talent development initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, morale, retention, and recognition programs.
- Oversee terminations, unemployment claims, and related documentation.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and leave programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and legal requirements.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Support occupational health and safety initiatives in partnership with operations leadership.
- Assist with workplace investigations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
- SHRM or PHR certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees and leadership at all levels.
- Positive, professional demeanor with strong problem-solving capabilities
