Jennie Joiner with Forum Group PNW is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in Eugene, Oregon to hire an HR Manager. The organization is seeking a strong operational HR leader who enjoys being hands-on, making decisions, building relationships, and helping lead through growth and organizational change. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an action-oriented culture and enjoys balancing employee relations, leadership support, compliance, training, leaves, benefits, and team development within a collaborative environment.


Position Overview

The HR Manager will serve as the key operational partner to the Director of HR and helps lead the day-to-day HR function for a growing manufacturing operation. This position oversees an HR team and partners closely with leaders across the organization to support employee engagement, workforce planning, compliance, training initiatives, investigations, and performance management. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations including employee relations, leaves, benefits administration, investigations, corrective actions, and policy administration
  • Partner with managers and leadership teams to provide HR guidance, coaching, and support
  • Lead workplace investigations and support performance management processes
  • Support training, onboarding, workforce development, and talent management initiatives
  • Supervise and support HR team members including coordination, training, and development
  • Assist with organizational changes, staffing transitions, and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and employment regulations
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Utilize HR systems and reporting tools to support operational decision-making

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong HR generalist/manager background with progressive HR experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Experience handling employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation
  • Strong knowledge of leave administration and employment law
  • Ability to make fair, objective, and timely decisions
  • Action-oriented personality with strong follow-through and communication
  • Someone comfortable being “boots on the ground” and actively involved in day-to-day operations
  • Self-aware communicator who will proactively ask questions and seek support when needed
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
