Job description

HR Immigration Officer

Location: Chesterfield/Hybrid

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Role Purpose

The HR Immigration Officer is responsible for ensuring ivolve remains compliant with UK immigration legislation and Right to Work requirements. The role manages sponsorship processes, supports colleagues requiring visas, maintains Sponsor Licence compliance, and provides expert advice to managers and the wider People Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the organisation's Sponsor Licence and ensure compliance with UKVI requirements.
  • Process Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) and maintain Sponsor Management System (SMS) records.
  • Complete and audit Right to Work checks across the employee lifecycle.
  • Monitor visa expiry dates and manage renewals and reporting deadlines.
  • Provide immigration advice and guidance to managers, HR and Recruitment teams.
  • Maintain accurate immigration records and prepare for UKVI audits.
  • Produce regular compliance reports and identify potential risks.
  • Keep up to date with changes in immigration legislation and recommend process improvements.

About You

Essential

  • Experience in immigration compliance.
  • Experience managing a UK Sponsor Licence and Sponsor Management System (SMS).
  • Good understanding of UK Right to Work legislation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and work accurately under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience within health and social care.
