HR Generalist (Recruitment focus)

We are looking for a HR GENERALIST with a recruitment focus, to take a hands-on role in driving our hiring efforts while gaining exposure to broader HR operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, and delivering a great candidate experience, while developing their career within HR.

Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Location & schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday, based on-site at ARDEX Americas scenic corporate campus in Center Township (400 ARDEX Park Drive, Aliquippa, PA 15001, complete with woodland walking trails and free parking! Candidates must be commutable to this location.
  • Flexible work options including WFH up to two days per week, are available after a training period.
  • Candidates seeking a reduced full-time role (32 hours per week including full benefits!) will also be considered.

What you will do

  • Ownership of full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions; understand hiring manager needs, place adverts via ATS, screen candidates, conduct first interviews, recommend candidates for hiring manager interviews, manage interview processes and ensure positive candidate experiences
  • Represent ARDEX at career fairs, high schools, technical programs, and local hiring events. Build and maintain relationships with agencies and community partners.
  • Prepare job descriptions and offer letters
  • Coordinate all onboarding activities, including background checks, drug screens, employment verifications, and new hire paperwork and compliance
  • Support onboarding logistics and orientations across ARDEX plant locations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS
  • Support the Director of Culture, Talent Acquisition and Employee Development, with local and Global initiatives that support our Group-wide People and Culture Strategy
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum two (2) years of recruitment and interviewing experience is essential
  • Minimum two (2) years of HR experience is essential
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
  • Experience with HRIS is essential. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly regarding recruiting and hiring
  • High attention to detail, precision in maintaining accurate personnel records and excellent administrative skills
  • Proven organizational skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Confident and clear communicator. Excellent listening skills. Engaging presenter. Builds and maintains relationships easily
  • Positive, problem-solving, ''can-do'' approach
  • Strong team player: collaborates effectively with a diverse team across different locations
  • Proficient in MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel - mostly locally
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
