Position: HR Generalist
i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of HR Generalist.
The role of the HR Generalist is to oversee daily function at mine sites, acting as a versatile professional covering recruitment, employee relations, and policy enforcement. This position will support staff and management, ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive workplace culture.

HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Facilitates employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources
- SHRM Certification preferred
- Intermediate computer skills, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient with HRIS systems
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and responsibilities
- Ability to give and take direction
- Ability to collaborate with decision makers in a professional manner and maintain confidential information
- Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with a variety of personalities, with professionalism
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external personnel
- Detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a le to multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Positive can-do attitude
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Nevada drivers license
Physical Requirements
:
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
