The Position:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives with the overall business strategy in mind, through recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, improve, and update all company policies & procedures, to include unification of policies across locations.
  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Create and update all company job descriptions and advise and assist managers in job description discussions with employees.
  • Ensure sign off on policies and training associated with respective policies.
  • Develop and administer along with HR team the internal Leave of Absence process and toolkit, in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law.
  • Oversee Company payroll and members of the Payroll team.
  • Manage all Human Resources system related modules, as well as employee & medical files.
  • Work with a benefits broker to ensure the company's offerings remain fair and competitive.
  • Evaluate the benefits plan each year and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Partner with safety and risk team members to ensure work related incidents are handled appropriately.
  • Implement policies and initiatives to increase employee engagement and retention.
  • Ongoing management of Performance Management program, ensuring that managers and employees meet deadlines for reviews.
  • Report to ELT updates on Annual Performance Management Program and implement overall company strategy and goals into program.
  • Work with senior leadership members and CEO to create company compensation philosophies and provide guidance to managers on annual compensation adjustments.
  • Manage compensation adjustments, through administering and maintaining unified compensation information.
  • Identify and manage applicable learning, training, coaching, and development.
  • Conduct and manage investigations into high-risk situations and employee complaints and claims.
  • Offer support and guidance to managers on employee relations concerns.
  • Maintain, improve, and grow internal corrective action process and advise managers on Corrective Action issues, situations, and decisions with employees.
  • Build, manage, and periodically improve a recruiting framework for the company.
  • Manage vendor relations for recruiting framework, such as 3rd party recruiters, headhunters, background check company, and drug screening company.
  • Manage and administer HR functions, alongside HR team, onboarding employees to the company.
  • Hold Managers accountable and see to the completion of their onboarding responsibilities with new direct reports.
  • Manage and provide direction to the Safety Coordinator.
  • Work with the Safety coordinator to identify incident trends and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 7 plus years of strategic HR related experience required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-location, industrial services organization require
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel 15%
