HR Director – Engineering

As an HR Director – Engineering within Honeywell Building Automation, you will serve as a strategic HR Business Partner supporting global engineering organizations and leaders. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping and executing the people strategy for engineering teams, aligning talent priorities with business objectives to drive innovation, productivity, and growth.

You will partner closely with engineering leadership to enable organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent development across a highly technical, global environment. This individual contributor role requires a hands-on, consultative approach to delivering HR solutions that support engineering excellence and business performance.

You will report to the VP, HR ISC, Fin, CX, and operate in a hybrid capacity based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective talent and organizational strategies
  • Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development for engineering teams
  • Support organizational design and transformation initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and scalability
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR and business partners to execute integrated talent strategies
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and HR best practices
  • Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and improve organizational outcomes
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in HR Business Partner role.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing on talent strategy in alignment with business needs
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
  • Bias for action, ability to work independently, strong project management skills.
  • Strong execution skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
