Job Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Clifton, New Jersey
Hours / Schedule: 8 AM- 4:30, PM M-F, Onsite
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $25.00 - $33.00


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department across various HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, payroll support, compliance tracking, and employee relations.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities such as posting positions, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate and process new hire paperwork, background checks, pre-employment activities, and orientation.
  • Maintain employee records within HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support benefits administration activities, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
  • Create, organize, and maintain HR documents, employment records, and personnel files confidentially.
  • Assist with payroll processes, including timekeeping and employee information updates, and cross-train as a payroll backup.
  • Help ensure compliance related to I-9s, employment postings, and mandatory trainings.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of HR, administrative, payroll, recruiting, or benefits experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment law principles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Paychex, Employee Navigator) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
