PURPOSE OF THIS POSITIONThe purpose of the HR Business Partner is to provide consultative services, expertise and HR support throughout BVHS. The HR Business Partner is seen as a change agent in the organization. This role will have a heavy focus in associate relations, project management, and engagement. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Manages complex and difficult HR projects, identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks. This could include group training sessions, delivery of presentations, and one-on-one interactions within the organization. Duty 2: Supports HR Leadership in performance improvement related to HR People initiatives and provokes positive change.Duty 3: Develops and provides Human Resource/People related training to all levels of BVHS Leadership.Duty 4: Champions various HR department projects and facilitates collaboration amongst team members. This may include other Leadership of HR. Duty 5: Engages and develops strong relationships with leaders and frontline staff to achieve strategic initiatives as they relate to HR/People matters.Duty 6: Acts as the organization’s champions to support leadership in improving associate engagement and team performance for front line staff, as well as, the director group. Assists in identifying areas of opportunity for improvement related to associate engagement and creating measurable action plans that will sustain meaningful growth as demonstrated by updated survey scores. Duty 7: Provides effective associate and provider relations support on human resource matters through strong execution of associate relations programs and provides balanced counsel, policy evaluation and implementation, and conducting confidential investigations when required. Duty 8: Collaborates with the other Business Partners to ensure consistency, generates innovation, and provides support for each other and the rest of the HR team.Duty 9: Models our Mission, Vision, and Values.Duty 10: Any other duties/responsibilities assigned by the HR Leadership in support of the HR Team.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or comparable experience with project management with multi-disciplinary teams5 years in human resources with emphasis on employment law, employee relations, and objective delivery of investigations Proven leadership qualities with customers and team membersProven success in managing conflict resolutionAbility to deploy critical thinking and problem-solving skillsIndividual must be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication and understanding of organizational structureMust be able to multi-task and be confident in their decision-making abilities to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to engage and partner with leaders through strong business acumen to achieve objectivesA valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver’s license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior HR Generalist experiencePrior associate relations experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting. The associate must be able to sit for up to six hours, walk intermittently two hours per day. The individual must have excellent eye/hand coordination. This position requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. This position requires excellent verbal skills to communicate with applicants, associates and management. The associate must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
