HR Assistant
Pay Rate: $20.00 $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Location: Niagara Falls, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Position Overview
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team. This role assists with employee records, onboarding, recruitment coordination, payroll support, and other day-to-day HR functions while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Organize, maintain, and update employee personnel files and HR records.
- Ensure all employee documentation is filed accurately and consistently.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing and processing onboarding paperwork.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidates.
- Respond to employee inquiries and route questions to the appropriate HR team members.
- Prepare HR documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping processes as needed.
- Support internal HR audits by verifying the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of employee records.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and other departmental initiatives.
Qualifications- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or currently pursuing a degree).
- 1 2 years of administrative or Human Resources support experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
