Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the department (arrival/departure/group/VIP) and ensures that company standards are met. This person will work closely with the front desk and engineering department. As the industry is ever-changing, the responsibilities of this position will change and evolve accordingly.

 Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote professional development and performance improvement.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments to address guest needs and maintain service quality.
• Address any guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations related to cleaning practices.
• Keep staff / work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to
• management and observe all requirements under health and safety legislation  
• Awareness of guest satisfaction scores and the measure put in place to meet
• department quality targets and objectives

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality or industrial cleaning sectors.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and custodial best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with hotel operations is preferred but not mandatory.
• English oral and written, is required for this position
• Spanish Speaking is a plus but not required
