    Description

    The City of Wyoming Housing Commission is seeking a Housing Coordinator to support the Housing Department, the Housing Commission and the various City programs and functions.

    This role involves performing both general and complex technical and professional tasks, including interviewing clients, determining eligibility, conducting client briefings and lease-ups, establishing escrow accounts, and working with families to promote self-sufficiency.

    The Housing Coordinator helps ensure the efficient operations of programs such as the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, formerly Section 8), Family Self- Sufficiency (FSS), and Public Housing.

    This position requires collaboration with a diverse range of external callers, visitors, clients and internal staff. Additional receptibilities may include property inspections, processing terminations, or evictions of non-compliant participants, and attending court hearings.

    Qualified candidates should have an associate degree in sociology, business, public administration, or related field, along with relevant work experience. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the degree requirement. A bachelor''s degree is preferred. Employees who have not met the degree requirement must show progress toward completion to advance within the pay range, and the degree must be obtained to reach the top of the pay range.
