Overview
We are seeking a Housing Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight for our Granite City housing locations. This role is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating program operations, supporting service delivery, and ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices and housing-first principles. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in social services, the ability to manage complex client and staff needs, and a commitment to recovery-oriented care.

Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and oversight of the Granite City housing programs and related services
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff, interns, and volunteers
- Lead program planning, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Coordinate referrals and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and community partners
- Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and governing standards
- Support program development initiatives to enhance services and improve client outcomes
- Provide direct services to clients and families as needed
- Promote a recovery-oriented environment grounded in evidence-based practices, including housing first, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction
- Serve as a role model and provide leadership to ensure positive interactions among staff, clients, and community partners
- Respond effectively and professionally to conflict, crisis situations, and emotionally complex interactions
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through adherence to behavioral standards

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a helping profession with relevant administrative experience
- 5–7 years of experience providing or supervising services in the social services field required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to manage conflict and respond calmly in emotionally charged situations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational policies and protocols

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $49,000 - $55,000 annual salary. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
