Our Opportunity

GPJ is hiring a Housing Coordinator to join our growing team. In order to be considered, you must have experience working in hotel group reservations

This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: Austin, Las Vegas, or San Francisco.

Your Role

As the Housing Coordinator, you will be the primary support for the Housing team lead(s) assigned to our client's program. You will be assigned multiple tasks, which are administrative and project management in nature. 

Your role as the right-hand person to the Housing lead is critically important to the success of the program. Each day you will have a multitude of tasks and responsibilities and will need to be accurate and be able prioritize efficiently.

In this role you will gain experience to one day become a Housing Project Manager.

Your Skills

  • You love the details and figuring out puzzles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, 
  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Highly proficient navigating web based applications to manage housing programs efficiently. 

Your Competencies

Deliver: Produce with excellence, in all your areas you touch directly or indirectly, for the client, the project you are assigned, and the GPJ team.

Communication: Able to relate ideas to others in many forms (email, phone, in person) and ensure that all who need to be informed are kept in the loop, making sure no detail is left out. Advocate and educate for the housing management services and practice.

Solution Oriented: With tight project management practices using GPJWay, focus on the desired outcome and be clear as reaching key milestones such as (but not limited to (cut off dates, block release/s, commission agreements) and communicate those in weekly client/team meetings.

Versatile: Action oriented and approach work with a "can do" attitude. Willing to understand client contracts, procurement requirements and supplier code of conduct, scope and work with the client, in relation to housing and interacting with the various properties, and when necessary adapt to any given client.

Your Experience

Experience & Education

  • Recent graduate to 1 year of experience in hospitality, event management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with hotel booking systems and event management software preferred.

Your Impact

  • Our attendees booking a hotel reservation is not transactional, we strive to make it a well-thought-out process within the complete event journey. 
  • Our Housing Coordinators are the anchor to the Housing Manager lead to deliver best in class housing services to our clients. 

Salary Range: $60k - $65k

Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
