About the Role:

The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the facility within a management company environment. This position ensures that all common areas, offices, and meeting spaces are clean, orderly, and well-stocked, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors alike. The Houseperson supports operational efficiency by promptly addressing maintenance needs, assisting with setup and breakdown of events, and managing waste disposal in compliance with company policies. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention and collaborating with other departments to uphold high standards of facility management. Ultimately, the Houseperson helps create a safe, comfortable, and productive workplace that reflects the company’s commitment to excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance roles preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a corporate or office environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards related to facility management.
• Basic knowledge of equipment operation such as floor scrubbers or vacuum cleaners.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in all designated areas.
• Maintain and restock supplies such as paper products, cleaning materials, and restroom necessities.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of conference rooms, meeting spaces, and special events as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies regarding cleanliness and facility upkeep.
• Support waste management efforts by sorting recyclables and disposing of waste properly.
• Collaborate with other facility staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and special projects.
