Housekeeping Supervisor

Core Responsibilities:

• Supervise the performance of room attendants and general cleaning and take appropriate actionto correct deficient conditions, behavior, and work practices.
• Inspect guest rooms, guest areas and employee areas and assess compliance with all establishedstandards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security. Report, as directed, anyobserved deviations to established standards.
• Review and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels. Review assignments ofemployees and make adjustments.
• Communicate throughout the day with Front Office and other departments to ensure total guestsatisfaction.
• Monitor consumption and order replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
• Manage administrative functions in accordance with established standards.
• Must role model company guest service program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills.
•  Attentive and detailed oriented.
•  Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple taskssimultaneously.
• Effective communication skills; ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or associates
• Ability to train others.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle cash and process sales transactions.
• Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.

• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift.
• Frequent climbing of stairs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying.
• Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
• Weekends, Holidays and swing shift work may be required.
