Duties
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Support room attendants by delivering linens, supplies, and cleaning carts to ensure efficient room turnaround.
- Perform detailed floor care tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and applying floor cleaning techniques to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Safely use cleaning products and chemicals according to hotel procedures and safety guidelines.
- Conduct custodial duties including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to manual handling safety standards.
- Maintain sanitation standards by following hotel housekeeping management guidelines and industry best practices for cleanliness and hygiene.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies related to cleanliness or safety procedures, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning techniques.
- Skilled in floor cleaning, vacuuming, sanitation practices, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
