Job Overview:
Ebenezer is looking for a Housekeeping and Maintenance Technician to join our senior HUD team at Wildwood Manor Apartments in Moundsview, MN! This position will be responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager for the overall housekeeping and maintenance of the building.
This maintenance and environmental services schedule includes;
- 80 hours every two weeks
- Full time; Day shift
- Weekends as needed
- On call every other week
Responsibilities:
Cleans public areas of building as assigned:
- Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
- Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
- Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment:
- Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions.
- Safely executes housekeeping tasks, such as the proper way to bend, push, pull and lift.
- Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies:
- Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
- Keeps supplies and tools locked at all times.
- Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
- Communicates need for equipment repairs.
Performs routine maintenance duties:
- Schedules and perform assigned work order requests within a timely manner.
- Performs routine inspections and repairs and documents on building logs/checklists, etc.
- Keeps grounds and walkways free of obstructions including shoveling snow and operating motorized grounds equipment.
- Assists with establishing and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
Performs general repairs:
- Safely works with small hand/power tools (i.e., screwdriver, hammer, pliers, drills, and ohm meters).
- Changes belts on motors and filters on air handler units.
- Greases and oil bearings, pumps and motors.
- Performs light electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
- Performs light plumbing work, such as cleaning stoppages, replacing fittings, installing fixtures, etc.
- Repairs damaged tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks, etc.
- Performs carpentry work such as fitting doors, refinishing woodwork, etc.
- Assists with custodial work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning trash rooms, cleaning windows, replacing light bulbs, etc. when requested.
- Assists with grounds work when necessary.
- Sets up common area rooms for owners upon request.
- Prepares apartments for turnover including painting, shampoo carpets, etc.
- Maintains heating systems applicable to building by completing physical inspection of all units annually.
- Provides daily reports to supervisor on completed tasks.
- Performs other duties required by the specific housing community.
Required Qualifications:
- less than 1 year of previous experience
- Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Drivers License Current Driver’s License (in good standing)
- Special Boilers License Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational School Vocational/Technical Training or
- Associate of Applied Science Associate Degree: HVAC or related
- Three to five years of previous experience
Qualifications:
$24.08- $34.01 Hourly
