Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleans and services wards, rooms, bathtubs and showers stalls, recreational rooms, offices, hallways, dining areas, all other areas as need. Cleans and mops floors. Dust furniture and equipment. Cleans windows and windowsills, empties trash receptacles, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Scours and polishes brass, sinks, mirrors and similar equipment. Replenishing supplies in Housekeeping closets, stock rooms and keeping them in a clean orderly fashion. Performs a variety of related duties. Should comply and implement continuing education training on hand hygiene, infection control and process needed in isolations in case of any outbreak or pandemic. May be assigned to specific areas as needed and comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Education and Training:
Must be 18 years of age, or older, be a good moral character, and completed at least the 12th grade of high school. Must be in good mental and physical condition, able and willing to perform heavy lifting and tedious physical chores. Must be willing to cooperate with other employees and department heads.
Skills and Abilities:
Must know how to use common cleaning devices, such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, floor waxes and scouring pads to keep assigned to are cleaned. Must comply with Infection Control requirements for sanitation, disinfection, and resident area care using prescribed chemicals to be used in areas of assignment with adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must demonstrate ability to use Power Tools like floor machines, steamers, and prescribed sanitizing equipment.
