Description:

Position Purpose

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership presence during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Provide on-site nursing leadership during nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Support and guide nursing staff across departments.

  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.

  • Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Current Connecticut RN license.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient acute care nursing (3+ years) and leadership roles such as Critical Care, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

Preferred:

  • BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

  • Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • Full Time: 36 hours per week Night Shift

  • 12-hour shifts. Shifts will support Nights and Weekend hours

  • Salaried position, eligible for shift differentials.

  • Salary Range: $82,461.60 min - $131,976.00 max.
