Job Summary and Qualifications
As a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
• Monitoring and coordinating intradepartmental and interdepartmental functioning of the hospital. • The direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing performance and activities related to the care and treatment of patients within the hospital on a specific shift. • Coordinating the assignments of patients to specific units. • Assigning nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital. • Acting as the official representative of management and administrative staff of the hospital in their absence. • Assessing personnel needs based on census, acuity, and special needs of each unit.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice, 3 of which have been as a Charge Nurse or similar management role. • Education: Associates degree in Nursing, ADN Completion, or actively pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred. • Licenses and Certifications: • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. Davids Healthcare policy. • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per St. Davids Healthcare policy.
