Today, Claremont owns more than 60 real estate assets consisting of hotels, apartments, retail centers, and office buildings with plans to expand even further. JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting all housekeeping personnel in the performance of heavy-duty work as directed by the Executive Housekeeper. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, vendors, co-workers and management.
- Remove dirty linen from cleaning carts or designated area and deliver to laundry as assigned.
- Clean all guest corridors, floors, fireplaces, ovens, elevators and landings, linen closets, guest laundry, exercise room, employee lounge and other public areas as assigned.
- Remove trash from cleaning carts and deposit in dumpsters.
- Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
- Clean, maintain and store cleaning equipment.
- Dusts and polishes metal work.
- Help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: - High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be available to work 11PM - 7AM weekdays, holidays and weekends
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from the groups of managers, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift and walk for extended period of time.
- Ability to move, lift and carry, push pull, and place heavy objects.
