Job Summary ------------

The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa Johns restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered to ensure restaurant profitability.

Other Responsibilities ----------------------

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.

Duties and Responsibilities -----------------------------

  • Adheres to guidelines, techniques, and expectations for each station, including but not limited to:
  • Dough management
  • Accuracy and proper portioning
  • Performs assigned work station duties, such as:
  • Making quality products
  • Following all product preparations procedures
  • Maintaining established product holding times
  • Consistently contributes to achieving the Companys product goal.
  • Commits to meeting the needs and expectations of the restaurants customers, minimizing customer complaints, and responding appropriately to customer needs.
  • Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in our TM handbook, including but not limited to:
  • Image
  • Car topper for delivery drivers
  • Attendance
  • Safety
  • Security
  • Exemplifies and exhibits the Core Values, maintaining a positive attitude, working well with others, and being flexible and adaptable to change.

Ensuring Adequate Shift Coverage ---------------------------------

  • Ensures adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
  • Provides immediate feedback and corrects problems when identified.
  • Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities, such as:
  • MCE readiness
  • Food labor costs
  • Restaurant cleanliness
  • Within acceptable standards
  • Follows all policies and procedures related to shift management.

Contribution to Profit Goals -----------------------------

  • Contributes to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals by accurately utilizing the FOCUS System.
  • Executes cash management duties.

Management of Inventory Levels ------------------------------

  • Assists in the management of adequate inventory levels using the Companys systems and guidelines to minimize loss.

Education, Experience, & Certifications --------------------------------------

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Serv-Safe Local or State Food Service Certification preferred
  • Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred
  • Successful and stable employment history
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work long hours (32 hours generally required, scheduled or unscheduled, which will include nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise)
  • Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
