Job Summary
------------
The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa Johns restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered to ensure restaurant profitability.

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Adheres to guidelines, techniques, and expectations for each station, including but not limited to:
- Dough management
- Accuracy and proper portioning
- Performs assigned work station duties, such as:
- Making quality products
- Following all product preparations procedures
- Maintaining established product holding times
- Consistently contributes to achieving the Companys product goal.
- Commits to meeting the needs and expectations of the restaurants customers, minimizing customer complaints, and responding appropriately to customer needs.
- Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in our TM handbook, including but not limited to:
- Image
- Car topper for delivery drivers
- Attendance
- Safety
- Security
- Exemplifies and exhibits the Core Values, maintaining a positive attitude, working well with others, and being flexible and adaptable to change.
Ensuring Adequate Shift Coverage

- Ensures adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
- Provides immediate feedback and corrects problems when identified.
- Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities, such as:
- MCE readiness
- Food labor costs
- Restaurant cleanliness
- Within acceptable standards
- Follows all policies and procedures related to shift management.
Contribution to Profit Goals

- Contributes to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals by accurately utilizing the FOCUS System.
- Executes cash management duties.
Management of Inventory Levels
------------------------------
- Assists in the management of adequate inventory levels using the Companys systems and guidelines to minimize loss.
Education, Experience, & Certifications
--------------------------------------
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Serv-Safe Local or State Food Service Certification preferred
- Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred
- Successful and stable employment history
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work long hours (32 hours generally required, scheduled or unscheduled, which will include nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise)
- Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
