    Description

    The Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station is looking to hire a Hotel Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station. This includes: guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, mechanical systems, and grounds.
     
    The Hotel Maintenance Manager supports the Director of Engineering in managing a team of 5-7 maintenance technicians, control the maintenance budget, run the preventive maintenance programs, and ensure the property meets safety and brand standards. The role requires both technical knowledge and the organizational skill to prioritize competing demands.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
    • Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and friendly, professional manner
    • Inspect and maintain all guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
    • Perform preventative maintenance on all hotel equipment and systems
    • Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
    • Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma required; associate degree in facilities management, mechanical technology, or HVAC preferred
    • EPA 608 Universal for refrigerant handling (Must be obtained within 60 days of the employment)
    • OSHA 30 General Industry (expected at branded hotels)
    • Experience with commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
    • Prior hotel maintenance experience preferred
    • HVAC systems: air handling units, fan coil units, split systems, chilled water systems at larger properties
    • Plumbing: commercial water heating, drain cleaning, basic fixture repair
    • Electrical: basic panel work, circuit troubleshooting, lighting systems
    • Life safety systems: fire alarm panel reading, emergency lighting, sprinkler inspections
    • Building automation system (BAS) familiarity for monitoring and setpoint adjustment
    • Work order system administration and reporting
    • Contractor qualification and oversight
    • Budget tracking and reporting
    • Scheduling maintenance technicians across seven-day operations with on-call coverage
