Salary Range:  $28-$30 DOE

The Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineer Supervisor to join their Engineering / Maintenance Team. Our 265-room property has just completed a full top-to-bottom renovation, including 13,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to help maintain a revitalized property and reestablish a reputation for excellence within a forward-thinking hospitality environment.

This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Engineering and ensuring an exceptional guest experience by completing various facilities maintenance functions within the hotel and ensuring proper maintenance and compliance with safety regulations.  This position is at one location, is very hands on and works in a collaborative and innovative environment

This is a full-time position that will work AM and/or PM shifts including weekends (open availability needed).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Director of Engineering in various areas within the Engineering Department including administrative needs and staff management.
  • Assist in maintaining close control and inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms.
  • Assist in ordering supplies and processing invoices within BirchStreet system.
  • Assist with monthly safety meetings and safety training.
  • Assist with maintaining SDS – Safety Data Sheets binders and various hotel equipment inspections logs.
  • Maintain, update and responds to Marriott GXP request.
  • Able to troubleshoot repair and provide preventative maintenance in ice machines walk/reach-ins split systems package units and all other HVAC related equipment.
  • Assist with the operation maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment.
  • Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
  • Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.
  • Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
  • Display above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability.
  • Display advanced ability to read standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
  • Respond to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner.
  • Communicate with Engineers, Director of Engineering and General Manager on projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a multi-unit environment such as hotels or other multi-unit facility
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as an Engineer Lead or Supervisor
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of commercial buildings and systems to include Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Appliance Repair, refrigeration and HVAC
  • Life safety Systems and Emergency generators
  • HVAC Certification
  • Clean DMV record
  • Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
