Major Food Group is hiring enthusiastic Host/Hostess for The Lobster Club, located inside the historic Seagram's Building.

The Lobster Club is a Japanese Brasserie by Major Food Group. It was designed by Peter Marino in collaboration with Major Food Group to celebrate a unique interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Classic techniques like tempura, gyoza, yakitori and robata are on display, along with a focus on Teppanyaki and Sushi. The Lobster Club sources fish directly from Tokyo's Tsukiji market in order to ensure the highest level of quality. Everything on the menu is designed to be shared, with the focus on food and fun, not formality.

As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

n

n

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups. n
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations. n
• Takes names on a waiting list. n
• Runs the floor plan board. n
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables. n
• Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available. n
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area. n
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant. n
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience. n
• Performs other duties as directed. n

REQUIREMENTS:

n

n

• Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required n
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred n
• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service. n
• Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays). n
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs. n
• Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, OpenTable, Word and Excel. n
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude n

Compensation: $20- $22 hourly based on experience.
