Indiana University Health Physicians has an opportunity for a Hospitalist to practice at University Hospital until the new IU Health Adult Academic Center opens late 2027/early 2028, currently under construction in downtown Indianapolis. 

Position Details:

  • Complex patient population at a large academic tertiary center with closed ICU
  • Medical co-management with multiple surgical services including PVS, CVS, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, etc
  • Procedures not required
  • Primary Location - University Hospital / Secondary Location - Methodist Hospital
  • Full Time Days with 7 on: 7 off schedule
  • Patient Encounter Volume: 15-17/day
  • Comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation through IUSM/IUHMG (dually employed), commensurate with experience
  • Academic position with expectation for teaching students and residents; affiliated with the IUSM Internal Medicine Residency Program

Qualifications:

  • BE and BC in Internal Medicine
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
  • Visa Sponsorship; H1-B only
