What You Will Do:

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is adding a full time night APP to our Hospitalist service.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Working with a Nocturnist physician caring for hospital patients at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital
  • Excellent pay and full time benefits
  • Rounding, Admitting of Hospital Patients to the service
  • Experience as a Hospitalist APP required
  • Acute Care Experience preferred

 

 

About Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford 

  • With 407 beds, this regional referral center features a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly-renovated 16 operating room suite 
  • The hospital is centrally located in the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the bustling “Medical Center Parkway” corridor with convenient access to dining and shopping areas 
  • The hospital campus is currently undergoing a $110M expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high acuity beds, a parking garage dedicated to hospital employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, 17 new post-surgery bays 
  • The hospital is well known in the community for its women’s services and well-established heart surgery program 
  • Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery 

 

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Physician Assistant credentialed from the Tennessee Committee on Physicians Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience preferred.
