Join Our Team as a Hospitalist - Pediatrics and Make a Difference in Children's Healthcare!
Are you a dedicated physician passionate about providing exceptional care to pediatric patients? We are seeking a skilled Hospitalist - Pediatrics to join our dynamic team, delivering top-tier inpatient pediatric care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This is an exciting opportunity to impact the health and well-being of children while working with a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.
Required Skills:
- Active North Carolina medical license
- Board certification or eligibility (within 3 years of residency completion)
- Boarded in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
- Experience managing shared census of 30-35 patients with another provider
- Ability to respond promptly to hospital codes
- Proficiency in vent management, intubations, and EKG interpretation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively within an EMR system (Meditech)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with central line placement, arterial lines, elective cardioversion, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis
- Skills in suturing minor lacerations and performing I&D procedures
- Collaboration with consulting cardiologists, nephrologists, and oncologists
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Prior hospitalist experience in a pediatric setting preferred
- Comfortable working in Open ICU environments
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including nights from June 1-4, 2026
- Willingness to utilize hospital-owned APTS housing
- Compliance with all applicable licensing, certification, travel, and reimbursement policies
