The hospital operations supervisor will have direct responsibility for daily operations, including evaluating, planning, directing, and coordinating activities for their assigned unit/department(s). The hospital operations supervisor may be asked to undertake various special projects. Performs and/or delegates duties of staff members in the absence of the direct leader. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, business, or related field. For individuals with a bachelor’s degree or higher, a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience will be considered.
- Experience must be consistent with job duties - project management, leadership experience, or other professional experience that is relevant to the job responsibilities.

Ability to perform financial analysis and identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and efficiencies.

Composing correspondence with appropriate grammar, both written and electronically.

Proficient in using computers, copiers, telephones, faxes, and calculators.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with multiple project teams.

Able to operate effectively in a high-energy, ever-changing work environment with a professional demeanor.
Collaboration and Creativity:
Capable of working well in a team and independently.
Organization and Accuracy:
Highly organized and accurate in managing tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
