We are seeking a day hospitalist physician assistant.

Local Team Collaboration

Join our close-knit hospitalist team of 14 physicians and 3 APPs with the support of a practice coordinator and clinician performance nurse at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. During the day, we have six physicians and one admitting APP. During the evening, we have one nocturnist physician providing cross-coverage and admissions and one nocturnist APP Monday - Thursday 5 pm - 3 am. We work alongside our hospitalist team and full subspecialty support.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified PA-C
  • Hospitalist experience is preferred
  • Michigan license
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Scheduling

The hospitalist physician assistant will work 12-hour shifts on a flexible split schedule with your opposite. There is also flexible scheduling around holidays with your opposite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform admissions
  • Work independently
  • Meet once a month for team meetings
  • These are intended to update the team on hospital or group initiatives, discuss barriers, and highlight providers making a difference
  • There is a closed ICU
  • No procedures are required in this role
