Job Description:

Bring Better to the Bedside as an Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at Mercy Medical Center. We believe in bringing better to our local community in Cedar Rapids-better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient-centered care across the inpatient continuum
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated care
  • Manage complex cases and contribute to performance improvement
  • Utilize EPIC and internal informatics platform
  • Work alongside a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, clinical performance nurses, and a Program Manager

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Physician Assistant in Iowa required
  • At least 1 year of acute care hospitalist experience preferred
  • Highly autonomous role
  • Scheduling: full and part-time schedules, with predictable schedules
