-Must hold a current, active pharmacy license in good standing in the State of Tennessee, or be
willing to obtain one. Employment start date is contingent upon the candidate securing an
active Tennessee pharmacist license.
-Three (3) years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy, director of pharmacy experience.
-Three to five (3-5) years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

Looking for someone who can:

-Build good partnerships with the hospital leadership (C-Suite).

-Have a presence on the floor in the pharmacy; check on staff and be present.

-Focus on completing the projects/implementations, etc. assigned from our partnership.

  • Manage pharmacy student training with affiliated schools of pharmacy
  • Create pharmacy related hospital forms
  • Oversee the hospital inpatient pharmacy plus outpatient pharmacy and infusion center
  • Implement pharmacy clinical products and services
  • Ensure quality of pharmacy practice
  • Maintain accreditation of the pharmacy
  • Comply with pharmacy operating budgets
  • Planning for division pharmacy departments
  • Ensure the pharmacy computer system
  • Perform clinical and operational pharmacy duties
  • Optimize the clinical pharmacy model and programs at AltaMed inclusive of expansion of clinical pharmacy partnerships with academic pharmacy
  • Assess and improve pharmacy department performance
  • Conduct pharmacy quality assurance audits of operations
  • Achieve effective clinical pharmacy program with demonstrated savings
  • Maintain pharmacy security by restricting access to pharmacy and drug storage areas to unauthorized individuals
  • Develop and oversee all pharmacy training programs
  • Oversee directly or indirectly pharmacy information services
  • Provide maintenance support for various routine pharmacy programs as well as other pharmacy-related initiatives
