Our client, Pocono Farms Country Club (Tobyhanna, PA), is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and knowledgeable Horticulturalist / Gardener / Landscaper to join our team for a full-time seasonal position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes, and has hands-on experience caring for flowers, shrubs, and ornamental plantings.
Responsibilities
* Plant, maintain, and care for a variety of flowers, shrubs, and landscape beds
* Perform watering, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, mulching, and general garden maintenance
* Monitor plant health and identify potential issues related to growth, pests, or disease
* Maintain clean, attractive, and healthy landscaped areas
* Assist with general landscaping and groundskeeping duties as needed
Qualifications
Applicants should:
* Understand planting, caring for, maintaining, fertilizing, watering, weeding, and pruning a variety of flowers and shrubs
* Be knowledgeable in different plant species, varieties, growth habits, and life cycles
* Be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision while following seasonal maintenance schedules
* Be capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds
* Be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
* Be able to frequently work bent over or on their knees for extended periods
