    DEFINITION
    The individual in this position provides personal care services to clients in the home setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to add consistent hours to your schedule.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • HHA certification or CNA license (required). 
    • CPR or BLS certification (required). 
    • Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes (required). 
    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Successful completion of at least 75 hours of classroom and practical training with 16 hours of supervised practical training. 
    • Must demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation.
    • Adequate health status to perform described duties.
    • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
    • Must meet personnel qualifications. 
    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    • Provides direct and indirect personal care to the client in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.
    • Utilizes safety measures in the provision of care.
    • Maintains effective communication with supervisor regarding client’s condition.
    • Documents and submits accurate accounts of services provided.
    • Observe the client for changes in condition and behavior and report to the supervisor.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all client, agency, and employee matters.
    • Adheres to all Agency policies.
    • Recognize emergencies and demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures.
    • Adheres to the role of the Home Health Aide in the home setting as defined in state regulation.
