Job Summary

The Alice Center Assisted Living Program is accepting applications from compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) interested in per diem opportunities on our care team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Home Health Aide (HHA) provides compassionate, resident-centered care by assisting with personal care, mobility, activities of daily living, and other supportive services. This role promotes residents' independence, dignity, and well-being while helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Team members are expected to uphold our values of Respect, Efficiency, Accountability, and Caring (REACH).

Education & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

  • Per diem commitment of at least two shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.

  • Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and preserving dignity.

  • Observe, document, and report changes in residents' condition.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support.

  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care.

  • Complete assigned health-related tasks within the Home Health Aide scope of practice and organizational policies.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

This is a bargaining union position.
