    Empath Home Health, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Home Health Administrator RN to provide strategic and operational leadership for our home health agency. The administrator is responsible for the total operation of the agency, including the completion, retention, and submission of reports and records as required by AHCA. This position has oversight over a location or in the Home Health footprint.

    What youll Do

    • The administrator is responsible for familiarizing the employees with the rules and regulations of AHCA and shall have copies of the rules available for employee use and referral
    • Familiar with the rules of the Agency of Health Care Administration as they apply to home health care agencies and to maintain them in the agency.
    • Assures the appropriate orientation of new staff, and opportunities for the continuing educational experience for the staff, in accordance with current AHCA regulation.
    • Is responsible for the accurate invoicing of clients, determining any credits, debits, and adjustments to invoices and applying such to the clients' accounts, prepares statements of account for monies due and for the entire billing filing system for clients' payments and maintains a hard copy and soft copy of clients' debits, credits, and deposits.
    • Maintains separate records for each client and sets up any special billing or payment protocols which complex financial matters may require.
    • Reviews deposits, applies payments to the clients' accounts, tracks payments, maintains a receivables journal, maintains a deposits journal, and maintains a credit card protocol, places charges to the clients' credit cards when authorized.

    What Youll Need

    • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Licensure:

    • Valid Florida State Driver's License

    • Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is strongly preferred.

    • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in a home health, private duty, healthcare, or related setting.

    • Working knowledge of home health regulations and compliance requirements, including AHCA standards and best practices.

    • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and financial management skills, with experience overseeing billing and business operations.

    • Valid Florida Drivers License, reliable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead teams effectively, and foster a positive, patient-focused culture.
