Job Description

We are seeking a Hogan Banking Software Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Banking, IBM mainframe technologies, and Hogan modules and a proven ability to deliver scalable and reliable banking solutions across deposits, loans, customer information, and core operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the Hogan Banking platform.
  • Develop and customize Hogan modules to support core banking operations.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and enhancements.
  • Build interfaces between Hogan and external systems using APIs, middleware, messaging, and batch processing.
  • Support deposit, loan, customer, and account servicing applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Participate in upgrades, release management, performance tuning, and deployments.
  • Develop batch jobs, reports, file interfaces, and automation processes.
  • Collaborate with QA on testing, defect resolution, and production validation.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, coding standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, designs, and operational guides.
  • Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting Hogan Banking applications.
  • Strong experience with Hogan Core Banking modules and architecture.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IBM Mainframe (z/OS) technologies.
  • Strong SQL and database skills.
  • Experience with batch processing, file transfers, and job scheduling.
  • Experience integrating Hogan with enterprise and third-party banking systems.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Banking Domain Expertise:

  • Core Banking Operations, Retail, Commercial, and Consumer Banking
  • Deposit Processing, DDA, Savings and Time Deposits
  • Loan Servicing, Consumer and Commercial Lending
  • Customer Information File (CIF), Account Opening and Maintenance
  • Payments Processing, ACH, Wires, and Check Processing
  • General Ledger Integration, Interest and Fee Processing, Reconciliation

Technical Skills:

  • Hogan Banking System

  • Easytrieve (preferred), REXX (preferred)
  • MQ Series, FTP/SFTP
  • Control-M or equivalent scheduling tools, IBM Utilities
  • SQL
  • ChangeMan, Endevor, or similar source control tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience implementing or upgrading Hogan Banking solutions.
  • Knowledge of Hogan IDS, ILS, CIS, or related modules.
  • Experience integrating Hogan with digital banking, payment platforms, or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with API-based integration and middleware technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud migration and modernization programs.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
