We build large-scale custom machinery for the aerospace industry ground support equipment and mobile systems where the operator interface is the top-level controller for a powerful, safety-critical machine. We're hiring an HMI / Machinery Front-End Developer to own that operator-facing software layer: the screens, controls, and workflows that make complex machinery safe and intuitive to run. You'll write the front-end and HMI software, then take it to the floor to commission, test, and debug against live hardware.
Renmark works under a disciplined engineering culture AS9115 software quality, MIL-STD-882E system safety, and a structured waterfall lifecycle with full requirements traceability and V&V.
What you'll do
" Design, develop, and maintain HMI / machinery front-end applications.
" Integrate the HMI layer with real-time controls for responsive, deterministic operator-to-machine behavior.
" Commission, test, and debug software on big-iron machinery on-site, against live hardware through bring-up, integration, and acceptance.
" Be part of an interdisciplinary team who are highly motivated by the mission and the product. You won't get boxed in at Renmark you will wear many hats.
" Work within a waterfall lifecycle and support AS9115 quality and MIL-STD-882E safety objectives with the required documentation.
Must-haves
" Real-time controls experience, including HMI integration in an automotive, mobile, or industrial setting.
" Hands-on machinery test and debug (on-site, with the actual hardware).
" Experience using web technologies for HMI.
" Strong proficiency in C# or Java.
" U.S. citizenship (required for this role).
" Able to work on-site full-time, including shop floor and commissioning environments.
Nice-to-haves
" Visual design proficiency
" ANSI C and RTOS-based embedded development experience.
" Exposure to AS9115 / AS9100, DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E, or waterfall / traceability-driven V&V.
" Background in aerospace, defense, or other regulated / safety-critical industries.
" Ability to travel
