Histology Technician | St. Helena, CA

Bring precision and purpose to every slide you prepare. St. Helena Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Histology Technician to support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment in beautiful Napa Valley.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare tissue sections and slides for microscopic examination using embedding, cutting, staining, and labeling techniques

  • Perform histology and cytology procedures with accuracy and attention to quality standards

  • Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while maintaining proper documentation and quality control

  • Prepare and process gynecological, non-gynecological, and bone marrow specimens for Pathologist review

  • Maintain laboratory supplies, solutions, equipment maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance schedules

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality assurance, and departmental procedures

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology or related field preferred

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • Histology or cytology experience preferred

  • ASCP Histology Technician certification preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, laboratory knowledge, and technical proficiency

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
