In this important Human Resources role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the hiring of the critical class positions, which protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. This position requires you to work on-site.
Responsibilities include monitoring vacancies, assisting by formulating plans to fill vacancies with viable candidate pools and recruiting/attracting new talent, participating in the planning of job fairs/hiring events and building relationships with internal/external organizations to develop/enhance talent pipeline, collaborating with program hiring managers to ensure a fair and consistent interview process, coordinating with program to establish interview schedules and use of approved selection process tools, scheduling candidates for interview and sending invites along with applicable interview information to interview panelists, participating on the interview team to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria as needed, determining eligibility of candidates to ensure they meet the minimum requirements of the position and any applicable cutoff scores established by the programs for advancement to the next step in the selection process, sending automated pre-screening tests and willingness questionnaires to eligible candidates, collecting interview/work scenario results/scoring from Program and moving selected candidates to the hiring process stage, sending job postings to Statewide Advertising Team, applying veterans' preference appropriately and ensuring applicable scoring is awarded at each stage of the hiring process, ensuring requisitions are maintained and coordinating closure of requisitions with Statewide Advertising Team.
Qualifications include knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection activities, experience determining candidate eligibility using an applicant tracking system, valid driver's license (travel is required to attend off-site job fairs, interviews and meetings as needed), bachelor's degree preferred. Preferences include experience, education or training in hiring, employee recruitment and selection activities, experience with DCF HR systems, People First Talent Management System, and MS Office Excel and Word, knowledge of Department of Children & Families' services related to child welfare, adult protection, economic self-sufficiency, or mental health treatment facilities direct care.
