Hiring: Rhapsody Developer – Healthcare Integration

Job Description

 We are seeking an experienced Rhapsody Developer for a 12-month+ contract opportunity that is hybridin Trenton, NJ. You’ll work closely with clinical, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless data interoperability between internal and third-party health systems.

Translate clinical and operational workflows into technical integration solutions
Work with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) to enable bi-directional data exchange
Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment and monitoring of integrations
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security (e.g., HIPAA)
Support and optimize existing Rhapsody solutions used by NJ Case Surveillance System related to Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and Master Patient Index (MPI)
Develop and maintain HL7 v2 and FHIR-based integration pipelines
Implement and support RESTful FHIR APIs for internal and external use

3+ years of software development experience in Rhapsody
2+ years working with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR and HL7 v2)
Strong experience with Rhapsody (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
Proficient in RESTful API development and integration
Experience parsing and generating JSON, XML, HL7 v2 messages
Hands-on experience with integration tools
Database skills: SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10
