RequirementsFor LPN Candidates
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Active LPN license in the State of Maine
- Minimum 6 months of LPN experience
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 80 lbs.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and walking
- Annual physical (if required)
- Negative TB test results
- Clean background check
- COVID-19 vaccination (if required by facility)
For RN Candidates
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Maine
- Minimum 6 months of RN experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 80 lbs.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and walking
- Annual physical (if required)
- Negative TB test results
- Clean background check
- COVID-19 vaccination (if required by facility)
Responsibilities of LPN Responsibilities
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients
- Monitor and report patient vital signs
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform wound care and collect specimens as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and families
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
Responsibilities of RN Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and observations
- Administer and document medications according to facility policies
- Implement physician orders accurately
- Delegate and supervise nursing support staff
- Develop and update patient care plans
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care accordingly
- Identify patient and family education needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
