Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking RN Hospice for travel / contract position in Marshall, MI. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Position Details:

Position Name: Hospice Registered Nurse 

Location: Marshall, Michigan

Contract Length:13 weeks-Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Range $2240 to $2280 Weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Mileage: $0.70/mile

Unit: Home 

Shifts available: Days

Shift timings: 8 Hours; Days, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8-hr shifts, Monday - Friday, On Call - 1 full week including 5 weeknights (5.30 pm to 8.30 am) and 2 weekend days (24 hrs/day)

Position Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse: 2+ years - Required
  • Hospice Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2+ years – Required
  • Travel experience - Highly preferred 
  • McKesson EMR experience - Highly preferred

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

  • ASN or an equivalent – Required
  • BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  • RN License for State of MI - Required
  • BLS Certifications from AHA  - Required

Job Description:

  • Provide all aspects of hospice nursing to assigned patients in comfort of their homes.
  • Pain & Symptom Management: Assess patients and administer medications/treatments to ensure comfort and alleviate suffering.
  • Care Planning: Develop and update customized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, social workers, and other team members.
  • Family Support: Educate family caregivers on disease progression, what to expect, and medication management.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond quickly to sudden changes in a patient's condition to manage pain and provide crisis support.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate, up-to-date patient medical records and facilitate communication between the care team.
  • Emotional & Spiritual Care: Offer compassionate companionship, grief counseling, and post-mortem support to grieving relatives.
