Job Summary:
The C Store Assistant Managers are directly responsible to aide and assist the manager with maintaining an efficient and proper operation within Company policy in such a manner as to ensure that the store contributes to maximum revenue generation, customer satisfaction, expense control and profitability. Additionally, the C Store Assistant Manager is responsible for helping the Manager recruit, train and develop, and retain quality employees that provide maximum productivity on all shifts to ensure that their store location is clean, sanitary, well stocked and ready for business at all times.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Report to work and work the shift hours assigned and approved by the Store Manager. This requires working at least two nights a week.
• Report to work in proper uniform with name and badge attached.
• Perform all general shift duties as trained and complete all specific tasks assigned by the Area Manager.
• Operate the shift within Company Guidelines.
• Adhere to all city, county and state beverage laws.
• Provide each customer with prompt and courteous service.
• Direct and assist store staff in all tasks necessary to maintain sanitary and housekeeping standards resulting in a monthly store inspection grade of at least 90%.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Responsible for ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
Accountable for conducting accurate and timely bank deposits.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
• Must be in physically good shape and able to stand during entire work shift.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have visual acuity to check identification and process money orders.
• Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
• Must be able to react to a fire by lifting and using a 30lb fire extinguisher.
• Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English and communicate with customers in English.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Work Week Requirements for
Manager:
• Assistant managers are hourly employees. Assistant managers are expected to work the days and hours necessary to meet the job requirements defined above. Assistant managers will work five days a week including weekends when Managers are off.
• As long as the performance expectations defined above are met this 5-day week and weekends can be expected to be the norm. However, if the Manager's store is not fully staffed or does not meet one or more of the performance goals met, inspection standards met, customer service score standards met, etc., then the Assistant Manager will work a minimum of six day UNTIL PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS ARE MET.
Job Title: C-Store Manager
The C- Store Manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees and assistant manager(s).
The C-Store Manager is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.
• Assist in the recruiting of, recommend for hire, and train, positive individuals to become members of the team, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Motivate, encourage, and challenge store C-Store Team Members.
• Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
• Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
• Supervise and discipline all store employees according to company policy.
• Monitor daily retail gasoline competitors and sending the prices to the corporate office in a timely manner as established by management.
• Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by management.
• Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
• Conduct Store meetings as needed with employees. (A minimum of one monthly)
• Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store C-Store Team Member regularly.
• Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
• Follow and enforce all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store Operations
• Implement Monthly promotions, ensure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
• Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing to the Price Book Administrator.
• Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
• Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report all unsafe conditions.
• Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.
